RAFAC OFFICER TO RAF OFFICER
We were really proud to see one of our own RAFAC Officers graduating as a regular RAF Officer last week!
Pilot Officer Mark Richardson started out as a cadet at 733 (Newcastle Airport) Squadron in Durham Northumberland Wing. He rose to the rank of CWO, and was one of the first QAIC graduates.
After timing out as a cadet, he spent a short time as a CI before being commissioned and serving as an officer at 1114 Gosforth Squadron - Air Cadets and 861 (Wideopen) Squadron ATC.
Mark has now been commissioned into the Training Branch of the Royal Air Force and his first posting is as OC Force Development Training Flight at RAF Wittering!
Sqn Ldr Sheedy, Sector 3 Commander and Mark’s former Squadron Commander at 733, was lucky enough to be invited to the special commissioning parade held at RAF College Cranwell.
Well done Mark!
