In September 1507 (Chester-le-street) squadron said goodbye to 4 of their Senior Cadets!
Sergeant Mya Christie leaves 1507 to start an apprenticeship as a Manufacturing Engineer at Rolls Royce Washington!
Sergeant Christie has been with the Royal Air Force Air Cadets since September 2015 and transferring from 1338 (Seaham) Squadron to 1507 in July 2016. During that time she has achieved so much including her BTEC aviation studies, flying and gliding wings, First Aid qualifications and even marksman badges for exceptional shooting! Flight Sergeant Will Baxter is leaving to continue his education, studying Chemistry at Manchester University! Flight Sergeant Baxter joined 1507 in April 2014 and has steadily progressed through both the classification syllabus and rank structure. Among his many achievements and talents he was an amcomplished climber, representing 1507 at many competitions. Sergeant Luke Watson as he leaves to continue his education, studying Biochemistry at Huddersfield University! Sergeant Watson has been a member of 1507 since February 2014 and during that time he has been a continuous source of laughter and optimism. One of his most notable achievements was completing the Nijmegen Marches! However, it is safe to say that he has gotten himself involved nearly every activity over the past few years. Sergeant Elysia Todd who has been a member of 1507 since May 2016. Sergeant Todd has been accepted into last ever entry year at Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College with the potential of progressing into the Royal Air Force as an Engineering Officer, subject to satisfactory A Level results! Sergeant Todd is certainly a memorable character and will be missed from around the wing having being heavily involved in the Wing, Region and Corps band. We all wish them great success for their futures and its great to see them leaving to peruse some great futures.
